    Our approach to cookies

    BeautyKiln takes a minimal approach to cookies and local storage. We do not use any third-party tracking cookies.

    Analytics: cookieless, but consent-gated

    We use Plausible Analytics — a privacy-focused, cookieless service that does not collect personal data, does not track you across sites, and does not create user profiles. Even though Plausible itself does not require consent under UK GDPR or PECR, we only load it after you accept the cookie banner. Choose "Essential only" and Plausible will never run on your visit.

    Essential local storage

    We use your browser's localStorage (not cookies) for essential site functionality only:

    • Template access: Remembering that you've already provided your email for template downloads, so you don't have to re-enter it each time
    • Guide feedback: Recording that you've already voted on a guide to prevent duplicate votes
    • Saved guides: Storing your list of saved/bookmarked guides locally on your device
    • Overlay dismissal: Remembering that you've dismissed the email capture overlay so it doesn't reappear for 7 days
    • Cookie/disclaimer banner: Remembering that you've acknowledged the notices
    • Reading progress: Remembering where you left off in a guide so you can pick up where you stopped
    • Tool data: Storing your inputs in tools like the Monthly Profit Tracker, Tax Set-Aside Calculator and Retention Tracker locally on your device
    • Voucher log: Storing your gift voucher tracking log (codes, amounts, redemption status) locally on your device
    • Price list data: Storing your saved price list in the Price List Builder locally on your device
    • Business details: Remembering your business name, contact details and logo in document builders so you don't re-enter them each time

    All LocalStorage data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. No financial data, client information or business details you enter into our tools or document builders ever leaves your browser.

    You can clear it at any time through your browser settings (Settings > Privacy > Clear Browsing Data).

    No third-party cookies

    We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or any other third-party tracking technology. We do not run programmatic ads.
