What this is
A printable "Refer a Friend" card template. Business card sized (85mm x 55mm) so it fits in a wallet or purse. Designed to be printed on thick card stock. Give one to every happy client.

Print specifications
- Size: 85mm x 55mm (standard UK business card)
- Paper: 400gsm card stock minimum for a premium feel. Matt laminate or soft-touch finish recommended.
- Quantity: Start with 250. They are cheap to print and you will go through them.
- Printing: Vistaprint, Solopress, or your local print shop. Double-sided.
- Design tip: Use your brand colours and logo. Keep the text big enough to read without squinting. Leave enough space on the back for people to write names.
Choosing your reward
Pick something that genuinely feels like a reward but does not cost you too much per redemption.
Good options:
- £5 off next visit (simple, universal, easy to track)
- Free eyebrow wax/tint with any booking (low cost to you, high perceived value)
- Free conditioning treatment add-on (costs you a few pounds in product)
- 10% off next booking (works well for higher-value treatments)
Avoid:
- Percentage discounts above 20% (eats your margin)
- "Free treatment" with no minimum spend (people will book the cheapest thing)
- Rewards that expire too quickly (give at least 3 months)

Keep a simple log so you know which clients are referring and how many new clients come through referrals.

How to use this template
Take this layout to your printer or use Canva/Vistaprint to create the card. Fill in your business name, choose your reward, and set a validity period (3-6 months works well). Hand a card to every client who seems happy with their visit - do not be shy about it. Say something like "If you know anyone who might like to come in, this gets you both a discount." The referring client writes their name on the back before giving it to their friend. When the friend books, they bring the card. You give both people the reward. Simple, effective, and it costs you almost nothing until it actually works.
